You’re probably asking yourself
What made you decide to start a candy company? How do you even go and do that?
The answer, believe it or not, is hidden in the year 2005, when I was just 10 years old. I had found my dad’s high school yearbook and a photo of him behind the principal's desk with the quote:
“My ambition is to be my own boss and to sit in the head seat.”
After reading that I knew I also wanted to be my own boss and start my own business one day.
Let’s fast forward to the year 2014 because that’s the year that I started my first business, CoolWay, a better-for-you ice cream company.
I learned A LOT during that time and made a ton of mistakes -stories for another time.
So get to the candy part already you might be thinking 🙂
Okay, let's get into it! When I had to travel for work, I would get gummie cravings all the time, and couldn’t understand why there weren’t healthier options available.
That’s when it hit me. “Seriously Noah, what if you could make a gummie that tastes exactly like sour patch kids but without all the sugar and calories?”
I couldn’t get the idea out of my head and decided to act on it. So I raised a small round of financing and partnered with Dr. S, the world’s leading confectionery food scientist. We conducted hundreds of hours of testing over 9 months until arriving at a recipe we loved.
And in January 2021, we launched our company under a different name than the one we have now (we’re no longer allowed to even share the name due to trademark issues). Since then, my life has been a roller coaster. Our product took off and we had trouble keeping up with the demand.
